I am not, in fact. All of my visualization is done via third-party software communicating with OPC UA. The only 'CODESYS' I am using is ctrlX PLC Engineering.

Is there anything required so that alarms configured in the PLC application are transmitted to the OPA UA server and accessible by a UA client as events? According to CODESYS Help, it is only necessary to add the library CmpOPCUAProviderAlarmConfiguration. However, I cannot find to install this library. Am I missing something, or does PLC Engineering do something different that already publishes alarms to OPC UA without that specific library?

I tried this method, and it does work, but not for every device. I have a device under my EtherCAT Master is ctrlX I/O Engineering which is configured using MDP (Modular Device Profile). For some reason, when I save the EtherCAT configuration to a file and import that file in ctrlX PLC Engineering, the device is not shown. If I add the device using fixed profile, it works correctly.
