Designer cannot be started

When I start my designer with direct connection to a ctrlX CORE I get this Error: "Local Connect is in Runtime Mode, WeqIQ Designer cannot be used."

What does the message mean and what to do about it?

My WebIQ server app version was 2.9.1 and it seems that the connection cannot be established with WebIQ designer version 2.10.0. After updating everything worked fine.

Hi,

you cannot login with WebIQ Designer directly to any system which does not have a valid developer license but only a runtime license. For using WebIQ Designer with a system the system needs to have a developer license installed on the system you wish to connect to.

I have a "R911410794 - SWL-W-XC*-WIQ**RUD*001K**-NNNN" license on the device and it is working well as long, as the version of of the designer is the same as the server.
