After a complete download it works just fine. Using online Change the string(xy) variable always was limited to 80 characters standard. Thx for the support!

This issue is known and is fixed with the Version 2.02. For the Version 1.20 it will be fixed with the Release Milestone 24.03 (2024 March)

Thanks for the infos! Using the slave to slave configuration instead of the PLC based copy method gave me the alarm 7614 "Ungültige FSoE Prozessdaten" instead and dind't solve the problem. Yet it works after: 1) Updating to the recent firmware and the fitting Engineering thanks to the help of your colleagues 2) Connecting the scanner and the SAFE-X via slave-to-slave in the IO-Engineering instead of the PLC copy method 3) Using another ESI-File for the SICK scanner. The file which is pre installed in the engineering seemed to be the big issue in my case

Hi @MST, Unfortunatly in the current release the reset process of the EDM block is not well implemented. As a workaround you can setup the Input Element Start/Reset as "Use as Alarm-Reset" and it will clear your EDM block. IMPORTANT: This will also, reset your logic. So validate if this workaround is useful to you. If not, I would recommend to not use the EDM function block until the fix is done. This topic is being tracked as Bug #584752, please look on the future release notes if this bug has been fixed or is still a known issue.
