Hello,
We are trying to mute a light curtain with the ICS function in CtrlX Safety Engineering, but the function block is only availible with a Beckhoff Remote IO module. In our application, the light curtains will be wired directly to the C15.
Please advise.

Hello,
I need more information.
Which Beckhof module you use that you get an ICS-FB. Please append your example program.

Hi Dias,
Thank you for looking into this.
Below you can see that if I connect a light curtain to the EP1908-002 Remote IO block, I can see the option to select a ICS function block:
But if i connect a light curtain straight to the C15, it no longer is available to select:
In my application, we MUST connect the light curtains to the C15.
Thank you in advance!
FYI, using the following CtrlX Safety Version:

Hello GoHawks,
all these objects are FSoE-Objects. That means if you put an object like this into the Terminal Scheme:
You can program it one time:
For using FSoE-Slave-Objects you need a running Ethercat with e.g. ctrlX CORE as an Ethercat-Master and the ctrlX CORE PLC must copy the FSoE Datas from/to FSoE-Master (ctrlX SAFETY) from/to FSoE-Slave (e.g. Beckhof device)
In your third screenshot I missed in the Terminal Scheme the Beckhof FSoE-Slave object. Why? It was configured before?

Hi Dias,
Perhaps I confused this topic a little. I need muting functions for light curtains going to CtrlX Safety C15. I presumed the ICS function block was the correct function block to use because it mentioned muting in the documentation. It sounds like this can only be used with FSOE devices...
Regardless, I am looking for ways to mute a light curtain, simliar to some of the Bosch SafeLogic Compact and SafeLogic safety PLCs.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
GoHawks!

for the time being the ICS Input element muting is not available for IO on the SAFEX-C.1x.
A short term solution or workaround has to be addressed in the application talks.
For the later a clear specification of the expected behavior has to be provided, e.g. to generate a work-around:
@Dias : Any proposals for a workaround?
Best regards
