Load Offline IO configuration to CtrlX

Using CtrlX IO engineering offline, we configure Ethercat Io devices. we want this configuration to be loaded, copied into the core without using CtrlX IO engineering. 

I believe we need to copy .Struct.json file generated when download. This file is the same as when we save ethercat configuration which creates a file with same extension .Struct.json and also ethercat.xml

we can load .Struct.json into active configuration under IO, but ethercat.xml has to be update as well and that is write protected in the core. 

any suggestions?

See this post for a similar discussion. With recent updates, the ethercat.xml cannot be edited in the active configuration, as you pointed out. Therefore, you must create a new configuration with the ethercat.xml and apply it.

Is your purpose for initial commisioning, or do you plan to make changes frequently? In that case, you may want to automate this using the REST API.
