This guide shows how you can import EtherCAT IO real-time data into ctrlX PLC Engineering without a connection to a ctrlX CORE.

- ctrlX WORKS needs to be installed

Explanation
Case 1: Download from ctrlX CORE
After a download from the ctrlX IO Engineering to a ctrlX CORE the EtherCAT configuration file is located in active configuration (app data) and can be downloaded from there.

Case 2: Export from ctrlX IO Engineering
The EtherCAT configuration file can be exported from the ctrlX IO Engineering via
"Saving EtherCAT Configuration...".

If not visible in the engineering it needs to be added by hand.

Import real-time data in ctrlX PLC Engineering
When EtherCAT master configuration file is available it can easily be implemented into the ctrlX PLC Engineering via the real-time data node in the "Devices" tree.
