When I create and save a new project a bunch of extra files are created (see image). From what I can tell these files can be deleted and the project still opens without any issues. I am wondering if there is a way to turn this off or save in a more compact way? It makes my files very messy if more than one project exists in the same directory.

This is the standard way CODESYS, our PLC supplier, is handling its project files. There is no possibility to change this behavior.
Beware that even some files (e.g.LastLoaded.Sync.json, LastLoaded.boot.Sync.json) are overwritten when several projects are in the same location.

Hi, all the files are containing compile info and other stuff. If you delete them you won't be able to log in to your control. In this case you need to recompile your project and download the program again. If you want to have a better overview you need to create a project archive. Here all the relevant files are zipped to one file. But this type requires much more memory on your disk.

Which files are exactly necessary to login without download/online change?
I thought precompilecache and opt is not necessary?
If the project needs to be compiled again before login, it is ok.
