The save address of the option files changed between the ctrlX PLC Engineering versions. Please delete the xxxDefault.opts file from the path mentioned in the error. Afterwards it should boot up normal.

After updating ctrlX WORKS from version 1.2 to 1.4.1 with all its components via the internal update mechanism, the ctrlX PLC Engineering could not be opened any longer. Start up was interrupted with error "Option file could not be loaded": What could be reason and how can it be solved?

This is a general error that means that the object you like to command is not ready to do so. Please beware that axis have to be enabled (AF/AH) before they can be added to a kinematic. How do you send the command? Via the WebInterface?

Complete error: "Encrypted communication not possible. Device name does not match the name of the certificate." So you try to load an already used program to the new control? Please try to start ctrlX PLC Engineering out of the web interface and import only the application part from your actual project.
