Could you add a full screen picture of the error? At which part of the installation Process does is occur?

it is appear on the first step

Hello gyoussef,

Maybe your WMI is corrupt, then this may be helpful:

Run in an elevated cmd the command window: winmgmt /salvagerepository

Then execute the command: winmgmt /verifyrepository

to see if it now comes back as consistent.

Regards Oliver

I have had the same error message during starting the ctrlX WORKS installation exe (here version 2.4.1). Additional I could not start existing virtual cores.

To get it running again I made this sequence at the cmd prompt (adim):

  • cd C:\Windows\System32\Wbem
  • regsvr32 /s %systemroot%\system32\scecli.dll
  • regsvr32 /s %systemroot%\system32\userenv.dll
  • regsvr32 cimwin32.dll
  • mofcomp cimwin32.mof
  • mofcomp rsop.mof

I found this sequence at https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/684166/failed-to-initialize-all-required-wmi-cla...

I know that the sequence I have done was not complete the sequence which was descriped in the link. But I got some error messages at the other comands. So I only made the fewe lines I have descriped and it works.

Regards

Jochen

Hello @Jochen_Mueller

My customer has the same problem but with ctrlX works 1.20.10. They already tried your procedure in the post above but it didn't work.

They asked if there are there any dependencies required? I can't see anything in the manual

Hello @bclapperton

The "invalid class" error is an error returned by the Windows Management Instrumentation. The cause can be different, and occurs at every installer that needs to access the WMI.

Here is a link that might help you to "repair" your WMI on the particular machine:

Oliver
