Hello Team. I just installed CtrlX Works (1.10.6) on a Windows 10 Pro virtual machine (VMware) with no install errors. When I go to 'Engineerng Tools' and open either 'CtrlX PLC Engineering' or 'CtrlX I/O Engineering', I get this profile version error as shown in attached image. I ran the repair feature in installation, and uninstalled/reinstalled CtrlX Works with same result. Would appreciate any guidance. Thanks.

Hello,
please check if the following file exists on your machine?
InstallDir\Studio\PlugIns\46510e41-f0cb-4551-b8f1-eec725db5f17\4.0.0.0\CSourceCodeObject.plugin.dll
If the file exists:
Please delete the existing PluginCaches on your machine? (C:\ProgramData\AP\PlugInCaches\*.*)
If this does not solve the error please send us the your systemreport.zip (ctrlxworks-->about-->systemreport)
Regards,
Oliver

Hello Vinay,
as you have downloaded DebugView.exe from microsoft and you have deleted the plugin cache again manually by starting plc engineering the debugview64.exe printed the following output:
00000297 63.34975815 [1580] CM: Failed to analyze assembly 'C:\Program Files\Rexroth\ctrlX WORKS\Studio\PlugIns\46510e41-f0cb-4551-b8f1-eec725db5f17\4.0.0.0\CSourceCodeObject.plugin.dll'
00000315 63.35096359 [1580] CM: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'SharpedClang, Version=3.0.0.6, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=83380e73b2486719' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
It seems that on your virtual machine the SharpedClang version is registered in the .NETglobal assembly cache (maybe from an old IndraWorks Installation). And this registration is corrupt and therefore the assembly can not be loaded.
Can you try to install it on a clean vmware image?
Regards, Oliver

The issue remains. I did not get a chance to install CtrlX Works on a fresh virtual machine as Oliver recommended. And Oliver indicated that the missing dll error would only cause an issue if I am to code in C-lang in CtrlX Works, which I don't see it happening in near future. So please close the topic. Thanks.
