Solved: CtrlX 1.16.1 Virtual Control not running ( Intel Haxm Accelerator not running error )

Hello,

After updateing the CtrlX platform to the 1.16.1 verison I could not run my Virtual Control anymore. The system show me a message that the Intel Haxm Accelerator is not running.

I tried to install it again but I got the following error:

Then I checked if the accelerator was installed and it seems that's the case but it is Stopped as shown below

The Hyper-V accelerator is off as it was before the update

Please can you give me some advice about how to solve this problem ?

Hi Giuseppe,

maybe Virtualization Based Security (VBS) is running on your host and interferes with the intel haxm.

You can check the status of VBS, if you search for system information and there look at Virtualization-based security. Its status should not be running.

If VBS is running you can follow these steps:

start powershell as admin with this command in the command line:
```
powershell Start-Process powershell -Verb runAs
```

execute this command in the powershell:

bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off

reboot your PC
