ctrlX SAFETY Engineering version problem

Hello,

I have a safety hardware C.12 with FW 1.0.1.45 version. The ctrlX SAFETY Engineering version is 1.7.1.8239.

I can connect to the module, but the send configuration function does not work (button is active). In the diagnostic window I see the different values.

I have tried with 1.7.6.9968 version, the connection is OK, but the send configuration button is not active.

Any ideas?

Hello @Zbalu87,

Is the second pic above (2024-04-18_10h58_59.png) the connection with 1.7.6.9968? If so, it looks like there is not a SAFEX-C12 control in the open project. Please try connecting to the hardware with a project that has a SAFEX-C12 control unit added.

Once connected you will have to click the Secure (key) icon then enter the default password (boschrexroth) to unlock the tools such as Send Configuration.  

1.7.6.9968 is the preferred version for FW 1.0.1.45 because it supports password management which was introduced with FW 1.0.1.45. This feature was not supported with ctrlX SAFETY Engineering version 1.7.1.8239 which is most likely why the button appears to be active but not working.
