Safety project from Safex?

Hi,

Is it possible to download safety project from Safex?

I have only found a way to download binary file (.toc) from the safex, but there seems to be no way to update your safety project to match the configuration running in the safety controller.

Hello Polygon,

yes, you are right.

You can send and read the binary version of the configuration, e.g. to duplicate the project on a second and further controllers.

This is a protection against manipulation.

Editing is only possible with the original configuration stored from ctrlX SAFETY Engineering on your PC.

Hi @Polygon,

I would like to add that in the next release you will be able to store a back up of the original project file on the Micro SD card of the SAFEX-C.1x.

This will allow other users to grab your project and work on it. However, the read and write of the project file will be a manual operation so keep it in mind.
