from design point of view the SAFEX-C.15 "Uplink" (Eth2) is a pure Slave interface both function- and safety-wise (Profinet/ProfiSafe-Device and EtherCAT/FSoE-Slave, the latter scheduled for 2023).
Our plans for a ProfiSafe-Host are different. We have a ProfiSafe-Host inside our SafeLogic product as a high-performance control. The successor of this product will be part of the ctrlX SAFETY product family. A ProfiSafe-Host is in planning for that.
