ctrlX SAFETY in the first product variants SAFEX-C.12 and SAFEX-C.15 will be a compact, low cost safety controller for small to mid-size applications. The SafeLogic inside ctrlX SAFETY provides bit-oriented logic and related connectivity via SAFETYLink, SMMC, EtherCAT/FSoE and Profinet/ProfiSafe. It is prepared to run Safety Monitoring based on safe analog or encoder signals.
Due to its graphic programming language of function blocks it is ideal to be easily understood and validated. This makes the application easy to learn and applicable for typical designers of electric diagrams.
Signals that shall be handled e.g. as integers outside of ctrlX SAFETY can be stored in bit-markers and assigned to bitfields as shown in the example below:
Creating a bit-oriented source
The bit-oriented data provided via fieldbus output can be used as an integer value e.g. in the Standard PLC. If the data is dealt in a safe way the data can be safe and non-safe outside fo ctrlX SAFETY.
