Question in a training session:
Does it mean that SafeX can be used as stand-alone safety device even for third-party contollers/devices?

Yes, the flexibility of ctrlX SAFETY SAFEX-C.1x is outstanding.
The controller does not need a fieldbus network. It has everything on board to be used as a standalone system (let's call that "Safety separated").
Even several controllers (up to 4) can be used inside one project, connecting them with a Standard-Ethernet in a safe way, without the need of a fieldbus network. They are symmetrically working as producers&consumers each. (it is "Safety separated" a big advantage compared to FSoE only solutions)
Due to its FSoE-Slave functionality the devices can be cascaded with any other FSoE-Master (let it be another SAFEX-C.1x or a third-party controller).
With its FSoE-Master functionality the controllers can drive not only ctrlX DRIVE SafeMotion starting at November 2021 but any other FSoE-Slave.
