I'm having trouble assigning a task to a specific core, had no problem in v1.x. The error occurs when there are several PLCs in the project. An error occurs when trying to download. Converted project from 1.20.
Same error if i try with "core 2". If i use "Fixed pinned" it works, but the application running on Core2.
Reproduce the error with new project
I manage to get the same problem with new project. using 1 physical CtrlX X3.
- Create project, one CtrlX is added(Ctrlx1), configure the task to be assigned at Core3
- Add 2 more CtrlX(CtrlX2 & CtrlX3) in project
- Add POU and Taskmanager on (CtrlX2 & 3)
- Download works on every CtrlX (to the same physical X3). Now you can add and delete CtrlX as you want aslong as you leave CtrlX1(the first one). Download still works. If you Delete CtrlX1 you cant download anymore with Coreassignment to any CtrlX. Not even with further CtrlX added in Project.
- If you remove all but one CtrlX from project a download will now work again with coreassignment.
Is this a CoDeSys thing?
It seems to work better if CtrlXs in the project has real connection to its CtrlX. Then download works with coreassignment.
But if i have 2 physical CtrlX and I disconnect the network cable from one, I get the same error when I try to download to the other.
What is happening?? Is this a known problem?
