Retrieving and using information from a JSON file in a CtrlX core

Hello to all of you,

I'm posting this message because I'm new to JSON files and would like an explanation. Basically, I have a camera that can recognize car plates and when detected, it sends a JSON file to the automaton. My question is: is it possible to retrieve information from this file and use it in my PLC program to control a pump for example.

Yes, it is possible in the PLC. It depends on the environment what to do:

• Does the camera really creates a file, or are the data send e.g. via network (TCP/UDP)
• If the JSON is pretty basic, you might do the the parsing by string handling, but better use a JSON parser
