Hello,
Our customer has an application with XLI, XVR, 2x XMD, and a KCU. The KCU supplies several Mi's and has higher power demand than the XMD's. The project planning manual shows the XVR should be directly to the right of the XLI and connected with FireWire cable. They are asking if they could instead put the XMD in between XLI and XVR. So in this case the XMD would be on the left of XVR and the KCU on the right of XVR. I don't see any accomodation for this in the project planning manual. We don't sell multiple lengths of FireWire cable, for example. But the customer is asking so I'm just confirming.
Assuming XLI and XVR are arranged as shown below, can they connect the XMD's to the right of the XVR and then KCU to XMD via XAS4 DC bus connector adapter? Or, since KCU is highest power demand, must they go XVR - KCU - XMD - XMD which means 2x XAS4 to go to/from the KCU?
Best regards,
Brian
