MSM and CtrlX Drive

Hello,

in RM 03.23 I understand that from now on the CtrlX Drive will be able to read Panasonic encoders.

So, from now on (April 2023), we are able to use MSM motors in combination with CtrlX Drive?

What is the proper firmware to do that?

Hello,

theoretically yes, but MSM needs 300V voltage. For that we will have XCS2-F (300V drive under development). More info about this new products during second half of this year.

but XCS can be fed by mains voltage 230V 1-phase (of course with a dc bus power derating)

So theoretically I can take a nowdays XCS2, feed it with 1-phase 230V and drive an MSM motor, right?

Is this combination already tested?
