Difference between complete backup and setup?

Hello,

Maybe I am too dumb but I do not understand completely the difference between doing a backup and a setup in a ctrlX Core,

Can someone explain me the differences?

It is two different mechanisms. Backup, in current version, is a tool of Ubuntu and Setup is tool created by Rexroth. Please have a look to the official documentation "Backing up and restoring ‒ Introduction" and "Setup – Introduction".

From version 2.6 on only the Rexroth mechanism will be available in the web UI using the name backup.
