Different WebIQ installations on the same Windows.

Hello,

Is it possible to have several WebIQ installations (versions, e.g. 2.15.6 and 2.15.9) on the same Windows? and to be able to run the one the user needs so as not to have to convert customer projects.

Right now not, but I got the info from SmartHMI that they want to provide portable versions in the future (like they did it for the preview of v2.16)

• Requiere a normal installation of WebIQ >= 2.15 for the license server 
• Require a valid license 
• Start the WebIQ server with double click on server.bat
  
• Start WebIQ Designer with double click on designer.bat
• Below the hint of SmartHMI to the preview of 2.16
• Please note that this preview version requires a normal installation of any WebIQ version >= 2.15 on the system and a valid license (includes trial licenses) and that you can open the installed and the Early Access version concurrently only if you have two Designer licenses installed, otherwise you can only use one at a time.

You cannot install multiple versions in parallel because WebIQ runs on an HTTP port (default 10123) and you cannot run multiple applications on the same port because then - which application should handle the request?

This is why WebIQ 2.16 EA runs on port 30123 to not cause any conflicts. In the future only old versions will use batch files, the other ones will use webiq-portable.exe as known from the EA portable version.

I cannot tell you currently when we will release them.
