Single bus solution for I/O and HMI?

Is it possible to access html5 HMI via EtherCat? Need a single cable/bus solution for I/O and HMI. Currently working with Modbus TCP/IP with 3rd party IO and HMI.

Take a look at Ethernet over EtherCAT (EoE). This sounds like a perfect use case if supported by the hardware.

for this use case Bosch Rexroth offer the ctrlX IO XB-ET-31 module, to get within an EtherCAT ctrlX IO station a EoE access

Using WLAN is also already possible and done in our "Solution Sets for Cartesian handling applications" used by our lead customers and on our fair exhibits.
