Also for the WebIQ Server on the ctrlX CORE you can have more than 1k tags. You can simply add several licenses and the tag number will stack up. But beware that your client has to calculate all the screens and keep the communication running. Therefore check if higher tag numbers will work on your used HMI client device. You can minimize load with keeping the number of simultaneously used tags low.

Only the server on the ctrlX keeps the license. There is no license for the Designer on PC. On some places you get an info that you use the free license. Just ignore it. In the standard setup of WebIQ the server is running on the Engineering PC and not on the control. Therefore you get this "free license" messages. You have to adapt the Windows Desktop shortcut to connect the Designer with your control. See item: HMI-Localhost-and-Port-Settings

It is a known topic because of an update from RM21.03 (v1.8) to RM21.07 (v1.10) and using the old AppData (active configuration). See also this topic.
