Please note that you CANNOT use local file system paths as this instructs the browser to load the file from the viewer's disk! We're using web technology here and whatever you instruct the browser to use as a src will be honored - in this case when using a filesystem path (which would have to use file:/// syntax anyway) it would always refer to the browser side. That's how web technology works. Always use relative paths as explained before.

In my post above I mentioned the paths where the settings.js file is expected. After installation it is only in the installation path available and can be put to the active configuration to be "replaced". Also as mentioned above: You should copy out an original Settings.js already prepared by us for normal usage (otherwise the snap will/could stop working) from the third path, then add your extensions and load it to e.g. the first path to be persistent.

It is and was possible with ctrlX DRIVE to evaluate resolvers like described in the post above from the very beginning. Mind that you need the EC option as hardware pre-requisite.

Hello, yes, that is a very valid question. I tried to illustrate this with two graphs. Basically, all WebIQ projects are saved in a project directory, on the PC this is C: \ ProgramData \ WebIQ \ WebIQ Projects, on the ctrlX-Core a directory / snapdata. When the project is loaded, it is copied to the workspace of the designer (…. \ Roaming \ webiq-designer \ workspace) regardless of whether the server is on the PC or the ctrlX-Core. With the publish, the changed project is played back into the project storage. If you want to start the project with the browser, the project must be "started" or given "Autostart" and can then be displayed via the URL. I hope that makes the topology a little clearer.
