Hi CodeSheperd, I am very embarrased to confess that in my personal case there was a mistake in comapring ctrlX core serial number. The typical identification code of 13 characters contained a twisted pair of them in the middle of the that code. Summarizing the serial number does not match. Again sorry for bothering you with this "no problem" case. Butherwise, I cannot speak for Venzi case, I hope it has a so simple soliution as mine. I really apreciate moderator every day effort .

Maybe is a silly question but when using a ctrlX Core (CP-COREX-M) with multiethernet expansion module R911411588 CP-EXT-XC-ET1-21-01-N-NN, all IO modules are attached to this one and every unit is conected (mechanically assembled) via some kind of internal bus building a complete no wired block. In this option no bus coupler (R911406090 XB-EC-12) is needed to connetct IO modules. So my question is, communication between IO modules and ctrlX Core in described case is via this internal bus, I mean, multiethernet expansion module CP-EXT-XC-ET1-21-01-N-NN is not performing the function of XB-EC-12 in the no modular option, is it right?. If I am correct the, multiethernet expansion module R911411588 CP-EXT-XC-ET1-21-01-N-NN is just used a an additional ethernet port to connect to any other external system but not needed to making attached IO modules to work. Hello Everyone, I am receiving an error message when I try to upload a file obtained with the ctrlX dvice portal web page. In this web page I assigned licenses to my device , I got a file, then I connect to my ctrlX core device, go to sttings --> licenses upload license file, but I get the following error: "Host ID error - response does not match system hostid". Could someone tell me what is mising or what I am doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

Hello Uwe, please tell me if there is any good news about Ethernet IP field bus protocol working in XCS2 drive??? Why it looks like this field bus protocol was ignored since design stage???

First of all, I would like to thank to both of you for the answers. All the information you gave me is quiet usefull for several common operations as analaog control or field bus management. The origial question was focused for a more simple test funtion. In the past I could start a primary operation mode enabling drive with P-0-4028 parameter bit 15. This seems not to be possible anymore so, is there any way to enable a drive (AB to AF) without using any wire or phisical cable connected to I/O ports. I mean just using any digital hand write parameter editor (via ctrlX engineering or Indraworks DS). I hope everything is clear now but if not, just continue asking. I guess what i would like to do should be possible in some way. PD: Easy start up is a really nice tool but I cannot test a real opeartion mode funtion.
