I'm not aware of any project which used Django in a snap on the ctrlX CORE, but I think it could be doable. We have a sample project in our SDK which brings a python webserver with a little HMI to the ctrlX CORE. Therfore see: Python Webserver example in the ctrlX SDK.
In addition there is also a flask-webserver example done by a community member: Hello World Example using python flask. Something similar could probably also be done with django.
