ctrlX Works v2.04 -- ctrlX DRIVE still v1.20?

Hello,

I downloaded and installed ctrlXWorks v2.04.

All Engineering softwares are on 2.4.1, but not ctrlXDRIVE Engineering, it's still 1.20.5

Is that right or is something wrong?

In ctrlX WORKs there is no new version of ctrlX DRIVE Engineering included. As we are using it as a platform and give the possibility to insert other software. Please download the new version and install it into it. Afterwards you can choose which version should be started via the tree dot menu at the name of the tools.

additional information

beside the separate installation of the the ctrlX DRIVE engineering (Link to Collaboration room) be aware that the DRIVE engineering version number is not linked to the WORKS version anymore. The last version of the DRIVE Engineering is the 1.26 (date 18.01.2024). The selection of the version you start via Works can be selected by the 3 dots (see screenshot)

If I understand right, DRIVE is now single and not a part of ctrlXworks anymore. So version of DRIVE doesn't matter? I can still work with 1.20.5 (or a newer one but I don't find any download)

Yes.

• ctrlX Drive will be provided as a separate installation file which are availalbe at the collaboration room (currently in the PT-area)
• has its own release steps and version numbers. (not anymore combined to the ctrlX WORKS)
• used ctrlX DRIVE engineering version is linked to the DRIVE firmware. You can still communicate with older ctrlX DRIVE Engineering to new DRIVE firmware, but If you want to have new screens for new drive function you have to update your ctrlX DRIVE Engineering.
