Software update - App Store

Hello,

did I understand correctly that updates (security updates) for all Rexroth apps (including the operating system) are distributed via the online app store? If so, when will the store go online and how do we get the updates by then?

Hi redford,

your description is correct. App distribution will happen via the app store. Plans are to have it up and running with RM21.03. By then app updates need to be handled via the myRexroth collaboration room, where internal users and approved pilot customers have access. If you don't have it and need it, please get in contact with technical support DC-AE/STS or product management DC-AE/SPM1.

In the case of a possible maintenance contract, we should install 'security updates' into the device on a cyclical basis.
Will the firmware of the device itself cyclically updated automatically or are the updates available as a download?
Do we (or the customer) receive a notification if an update is available?
