My customer needs to program a new SAFEX C.12 to replace an existing SAFEX C.12 that has failed on a machine.
The new SAFEX has CPU firmware 1.0.1.45, FPGA 212 and Hardware version 6
The old SAFEX has CPU firmware 1.0.1.29 and FPGA 211. Hardware version not know at this stage.
Is it possible to downgrade the firmware of the new controller to match the old controller?

Hello Bruce,
yes it is possible to make a downgrade. You need also a keyfile like for an upgrade.
But my proposal is the customer should make at first a test with the new firmware he has.

Thanks @Dias
I was able to swap the unit with one I had with the old firmware. The machine is in the USA, the machine builder is in Australia. So they could not send an engineer to test.
