SAFEX-C.15 Pulse P1/P2 Terminal Selection

Hello,

The documentation suggests that the pulse outputs P1/P2 at XG32 pins 7 and 8 can be moved (to pins 1 to 6) or configured as outputs instead.

However from the software it does not appear as though this is possible.

Can the functionality of X32 pins 7 and 8 be changed?

your impression is right and thank you for asking here.

• The hardware is prepared and capable to be configured in the way it is described (pin 1 to 8 configurable) and it has been foreseen from the very beginning. This is why the documentation covers this that long.
• Due to the number of open issues the implementation inside the Configuration Software ctrlX SAFETY Engineering has been delayed several times.

Consequently only pin 7 and 8 are available as pulse outputs.
