IO-Engineering scan device not working

Hi all,

if i like to scan device after ethercat master, the tool says no slave found.

I use an CtrlX COREX-M-X3-11 with integrated Ethercat extension and i also plug the powersupply and i can not find any devices. Also if a configurated by my one the bus and load to the device it is not working and i have and topology missmatch. Is there any problems with the hardware version cx_m4p_a? I connect also the extension from the ethercatmaster port to the extension EC  in port.

Hi, 

did you activate the EtherCAT master on the ctrlX CORE first, before you tried the scan?

See the section "Configuring the EtherCAT master" in the manual.

yes of course, i see also the topologie is not ok. If i opening the ethercatmaster i see my configuration and the hint that they not connected

Hi Zimmbo,

not sure if I got you right.
But the Ethercat on a ctrlX CORE Plus is wired internally, you are not allowed to connect the XF50 to any other port on your device.
Most likely this will cause some loop.

Maybe you can make a picture of your setup?

Which versions of apps and Works are you using?

Hey all,

yes i make a loop if i connect ethercat master twice. Maybe their can be a hint, that it not necessarry to connect the XF50 (EthercatMaster) with the XF23 from the internal extension. Also if their build a loop, maybe a error message will be helpfully.
