Upgrading 4v04 drive with SLP to 5v04

What is the best procedure for upgrading the firmware of a ctrlX drive using SLP from version 4v04 to 5v04?  with 5v04, safe homing has been added and is also now required to use SLP.  I'm looking for information on how to properly setup safe homing in the ctrlX drive and also the best procdure for updating the firmware so I don't have to completely redo the safety commissioning.

Just download the parameters from drive firmware 0404 to the drive now equipped with firmware 0504 using the Safe Motion (SMO) serial commissioning tool

Then change the settings for safe homing

and the related safety function like "SLP"

Mind that you probably need to assign a digital input

which as well needs to be assigned in an I/O mapper network
