Hello,
A customer has the problem that when uploading several WebIQ projects on a CtrlX X3 the device runs out of memory. Apart from the fact that the project takes up twice as much space once it is uploaded to the Core (must be for WebIQ management reasons), I was testing the function Used as extension of system data with SD. The problem is that the function is enabled but I don't know how to use that extra memory. If I try to install more apps or upload WebIQ projects I get the insufficient memory error.
Is there any way the system can use the sd as system memory?
Thanks.

Hello David08,
I will forward the request to RuD colleagues but from my point of view the system memory is currently restricted to the internal memory only. The device Admin manages the internal and external memory devices but the app related data as beeing part of the active configuration app-data is restricted to the internal memory and currently not expandalbe/replaceable...
Please await a more reliable info from RuD colleagues.

I think there are 2 possible solutions:

Hello HmiGuide,
I was at the customer yesterday and was finally able to upload the projects. What happened was:
- The Core X3 with version 1.20.3 for some reason of having done tests with different WebIQ projects, without any APP or WebIQ project loaded only had 900 Mb of free memory. I installed the latest version 1.20.11 with the memory card and with nothing installed I had 1.7 Gb free.
- From Apps only WebIQ 1.15.9 is used because the PLC is external. Several projects are needed because the machine has different screens with different functionalities and it is necessary to load a specific screen when the machine is turned on.
- The problem I see is that the customer has used a base project that was on a big machine to make the small projects (the machine has a main project of 800 Tags, and then has 3 small ones with 200 Tags and 4 screens) and these take up about the same space as the big one.
The big compressed project sizes 130 Mb and the small one with 200 tags and four screens sizes 122 Mb. I have looked inside the ZIP and there is a database file that sizes more than half (191 Mb because it is unzipped).
Is it possible that data of graphs or other parameters of the previous project remain?
Thanks for the help.
