Good afternoon all. I have been having trouble with my telegraf license dropping intermittently the past few days.
I am using it in conjunction with influx. I stop recieving updates to my bucket and when i check on my configuration(s) (side note, I am also experiencing the multiple subscriptions/configuration bug AND the "got end of SSE data input") it brings up the license screen. Network time is synced, core still shows proper licensing. only solution is to reboot, then everyone plays nice again.
attached screen shots and systemreport

Hello @Mbrue ,
According to the logs, it looks like you are utilizing the SWL_XCR_ENGINEERING_4H license which is only valid for 4 hour sessions. Is it possible this license is also installed?
info;2024-06-05T16:53:50.1961-04:00;;;;16:53:50 ERROR /var/jenkins/workspace/common.licensing/private/src/flx2go/Flx2Go.c:435: license-manager: requested license SWL_XCR_ENGINEERING_4H was not found;;;snap.rexroth-deviceadmin.web.service;;2024-06-05T16:53:50.1961-04:00;system;;;;;
I am a bit confused because this license is usually on issued on the COREvirtual. I see this is an X3 running ctrlX OS v1.20.
There are also some errors related to communication with Device Portal via remote agent. I don't think this is the cause, but rather another symptom. Are you using this feature of Device Portal premium?

Thanks for digging. I uploaded the license capability file directly from the vendor I purchased this from. We are still trying to get it set up so that my company 'owns' the device, licenses, etc. I'm also not sure why the system would be using the 4H license when the license file calls out device unlimited. Im still trying to figure this stack out.

Additional info. system ran about 15 hours before throwing the license error around 1am EST last night. cpu and mem usage were low before error as well. (somewhere around 20% CPU total, most on core 0,1, and 700mb mem).

Hi @Mbrue
thanks for reporting this issue. This behaviour is not known yet. We are investigating it internally. I will let you know when I receive news on this issue.
Best regards,

Additional information,
The core on and the telegraf scrapers stopped produced no license error after ~20 hours

Reviving. This is a significant hurdle for project beta testing prior to testing.

I spoke with a Rexroth colleague yesterday and heard this issue was isolated as a bug in Telegraf and will be addressed in a patch. He is out of office, so please don’t take this as official word, but I wanted to provide that information to you before the weekend.
If it is possible, an update to ctrlX OS v2+ and the corresponding telegraf version should correct this for you in the meantime.
