We have a customer here in the UK that has established communication from Node Red to MQTT via port 8883 and client credentials. Is this communication also available as an unsecure connection? Thank you in advance for your help. Mark Ensor.

Hi @mini_haha
the Mosquitto MQTT Broker on a ctrlX CORE does only support MQTTS, we no longer offer unencrypted connections of any protocol.
Best regards

Hi @mini_haha
update, there is a possibility to load a custom configuration into the Broker described here: How-to-set-up-Eclipse-Mosquitto-MQTT-Broker-and-connect-a-client
This gives you alot more possibilities, also the requested unsecure connection.
But at the moment there are wrong write permissions to the mentioned conf.d folder, so you cannot upload your custom file.
That should be solved in the next version.

Thank you for the update. Is there any date yet for release of the next version that you mentioned in your reply? I am assuming that is a Mosquitto update. Thank you in advance.
Best regards, Mark
