Tags counting

Hello,

when the customer wants to exchange array or structure tags, will it count based on number of elements?

E.g. an array with 100 elements count as 1 or as 100?

Dear Ebert,

not really happy with this answer as competitors has it differently.

Anyway, I´d like to ask how it is with Alarm Management? Are tags which trigger alarms also counted to number of tags? I hope not as we could face the same in Winstudio. We have some customers which have databaase of alarms msg which can have thousands of rows.

Dear Pavel,
sorry for this limitation. Also the alarm triggerwords count as process-data tags, but it is possible to use e.g. 64-Bit or 32-Bit DWord process variables and you can trigger 32- or 64 alarm messages by masking the single bits, using one process data tag. 

We also want to limit the number of process variables for performance reasons. Later in the year there will be the PC version, which is much more powerful.
