I would be interested in contacting you in regards to setting up the ROS snaps on the ctrlX. I have been using snaps since they came out, but if there are some yamls I can use that already exist and work on this platform, that would be great. I am just getting started with the ctrlX platform and I am generally trying to evaluate if and how I can write a ROS2 node that will let me drive VFD's connected to a ctrlX.
Solved! Go to Solution.

@a1mm If you look in the end of the artichle there is the link on the official documentation! you can start from there 😁.
Take into account that ROS2 would work well with ctrlX CORE x5 and above.

Thanks. I did see that page, but I haven't yet figured out where to get the version of ctrlX Works with the ctrlX core virtual that supports core22. The latest I can find to download is 1.20.10

@a1mm Moved the discussion to our forum from the article "ROS2 demo example - MoveIt2! in ctrlX OS".
ctrlX WORKS from version 2.2 on are supporting the core22. This version are in early adopter state and so not in the ctrlX Store available. Please see the "FAQ for ctrlX Store".
The hint mentioned above with ctrlX CORE X5 (that is planned to be release soon) is relate to computing power and internal storage, as a ctrlX CORE X3 hardware has more limitations. See online documentations for further information: "ctrlX CORE X2 X3 Controls, Operating Instructions" and "ctrlX CORE X7 Controls, Operating Instructions".
@rcruzoliver See discussion for your information.
