IndraDrive Cs Single Phase : Line to Line allowed ?

My customer wires the Single Phase Cs  ( HCS01.1-W013) line to line instead of Line to Neutral. Can this cause trouble ?

According to manual either of L1, L2 or L3 may be used but the other connection should be to neutral, see
