For the ctrlX CORE there will be in the first release a OPC UA Server app and a OPC UA Client app. In the follwoing releases there is a OPC UA PubSub app planned. TSN/OPC-UA is a feature that is in the scope for the ctrlX development. Details are not yet clear.
The OPC UA server app supports in the first release to browse, to read (with subscription) and to write data. In a next step also methods will be supported.
The OPC UA Client supports also in the first release to browse, to read (without subscription) and to write via data layer access. Methods will implemented in the next step as well.

additional note:
OPC UA server app interacts with Device-Admin app.
Operating on base of Device-Admin >=251 requires mandatorly a secure-communication in general.
In case you operate with a unproviding OPC UA server app a session request will not be successfully setup since the Device-admin ignores/denies to communicate non-secure.
the OPC UA client will state with try to connect with: could not connect to server BadCommunicationError.....
but the communication between client and server is not reasonable directly, since the security token toward the Device-Admin is missing and mainly reasonable.
