I'm currently trying to get FactoryIO to work with the core via OPC_UA, and I get the following error:
"The chosen security policy is not supported by the client to connect to the server".
In the OPC UA Server App Manual It states that it is possible to set the SecurityPolicy to None, and it can be configured in the datalayer.
However, a post made a while back states that the server will always use an auth/encryption.
So is it possible? And if so, what and how should the settings in the datalayer be changed?
Solved! Go to Solution.

Hi,
it is possible to configure the ctrlX OPC UA Server with none Secure Endpoints.
The settings can be done via Datalayer or OPC UA. For that you need a configuration like that:
Then you need to restart the opc ua server.
Best regards!

Could you specifiy the formatting for the datalayer? All the variations i've tried were rejected, and the only solution I was able to get working was a PUT request with the following payload
PS: more info is avaliable in the CtrlxCore runtime manual
