Available certificate format + private key for encrypted OPC UA

Which formats of certificate types and private keys are accepted by OPC UA and which are not? For example PEM, DER, CER, etc.

Hi Maximilian,

The OPC UA Server uses DER encoded certificates and CRLs as required by the OPC UA protocol. Only the private keys are stored as PEM encoded RSA private keys.

For manually uploading certificates we have some restrictions with the naming of the certificate which are explained here:
