SoftMotion Robotics on Virtual Core V1.18

Hello,

I've tried to use a virtual Core to run a SoftMotion application.

Once increased the Task time from 2ms to 20 ms, I could run it without any problem for the 30 mn trial period.

However, as soon as I add an AxisGroup, I download to the virtual and I get following error message when I clic on "Run":

Has anybody already tried to run SoftMotion Robotics on Virtual Core?

This problem does not occur if a physical CtrlX Core is used instead of.

If so, if it worked, what is the workaround to get it running?

Hi,

i think you got a watchdog error. If this is the case, you have to increase the task cycle times and the corresponding watchdog settings. Becaus e virtual ctrlX CORE is running very slow.

Hi,

I tried to increase up to 1000 ms and watchdog 2000 ms but problem is still the same:

I also tried with Cyclic instead of External with Task_External_Event_07 and I got same result.

Hello.

I think you should increase the watchdog step by step (1sec steps) to find out, how long it takes the ctrlX CORE virtual to handle the task on your PC. Be aware, that you don't have a realtime environment.
