I was working with a ctrlX CORE X3 in the field, using v1.18.1 apps. I backed up my system before leaving, creating a .tar file. I would like to restore this image to a virtual CORE on my PC so I can review it later. Is this possible? I tried restoring the real X3 controller image to a virtual but I get an error that says "Process aborted with error. Snap architecture missmatch" My guess is that this is a problem with the arm64 vs amd64 apps. Is there a way to resolve this so I can review my field project virtually on my PC? (I'm using ctrlX WORKS v 1.18.1 for both the real and virtual.)

I developed PLC Code to AutoConnect (with the help of others on the Forum 🙂 ). This can be used if the Node Red app is not being used as in the example above, but the PLC app is used. When using the OPC UA Client app, it is necessary to start the connection manually as of version 1.16.0. This is detailed in this post: https://developer.community.boschrexroth.com/t5/Store-and-How-to/Connect-OPC-UA-client-to-MLC-and-Siemens-S7-OPC-UA-server/ba-p/61592#comment-on-this In this same post, a Node Red example is given for starting the OPC UA Client if the current state is Disconnected. This can be used on startup or to recover if the connection is lost during runtime. Attached is PLC Code to do the same. The file is a PLCOpenXML file that can be imported into the ctrlX PLC Engineering program.

This error stopped occurring after a power cycle. I cannot explain it past that. The system had been powered on for months and this was probably the first power cycle in some time. The original code in the solution above works now and the "write" to 'connect' or 'disconnect' does not require an actual value or variable in the "Value" input of the function block.

The read of the state works well. Thank you! I am still having a problem with the Write of the Connect or Disconnect. It seems from your example that there is no value needed for the "Value" input, that simply writing to 'opcuaclient/xxxx/connect' is enough. But when this did not work, I tried a boolean value. This resulted in the same errors displayed below. The error codes, 0D0A0201 with 80E50000, are not documented that I can find. This is the same problem I had in my previous attempt though the error codes are now different. Can you suggest what is wrong here? I attached an XML export of my POU.
