Reasonable are outdated device-description files - contained in the current releases. Solution: a) coming ctrlX-Works Patches will provide updated description data. b) download of zip description packages are published soon. step1 - Update device repository database of ctrlX-IOEng step2 - proceed with the "Update device.." dialog Workaround: do not include the Power-Slice in IO-config.

Hi, there are several ECAT Devices easy to integrate in our system, means for instance scanning by the ctrlX-IO Eng and including in the configuration is done easy. But since the config of the more complex device e.g. Gateways are much more complicated it will most likely not work out of the box. Depending on the complexity we will arrange the integreation in our config-tools. Face currently similar topic trying to integrate a CANOpen Gateway provided on Beckhoff portfolio. A list of supported devices will be published in the next days by RuD. OK?

Why is the setup of the ctrlX-IO devices - including the power slice - possible, but using the config leads inside the ctrlX-PLC-Eng to Red triangle - indicating communication issue with a different IO-module?

Hello, the available types are - no others, not able to update to other range (as far as I know). at least the InOut 64Byte worked between S7 and ctrlX as PNDevice. .... Hello Hui, faced similar topic some days ago and the rootcause in not finally closed and confirmed. Could you please operate with a different PNIO Module testwise. The variety of moduels you can use is quite big - but I assume not all of them are supported right now (by the S7..). Please configure the S7 and ctrlX-PLC with a PN-INOut64Byte and try to run the connection. I checked several modules between ctrlX running as PNController and a 2nd ctrlX running as PN-Device and that worked unsuspiously. Bye Please add the PLC-Logger info with further infos regarding the test.
