Here the same issue. Encoder cable of servodrive was malfunctioning. As a result the ServoDrive ethercatbus node didn't go to OP mode. We were able to control outputs in the remote I/O unit but inputs were not read by the datalayer. We solved the encoder cable issue and the inputs were read again. @Rexroth development: Shouldn't this be considered as a design fault? A malfunctioning encodercable should not lead to a complete fall-out of the entire machine / system

The main reason of updates are not started is because the file structure in the µSD-card is not correct. See the guideline in the release notes. Beware of the ".tar" where sometimes a only folder is put on the card. SD card image update Please also beware that there must not be a folder on your µSD-card with the serial number of the ctrlX CORE, because this would prevent an image to be installed. Also the bootloader and the "rescue.itb" have to fit to your image. The correct procedure for doing an app update can be found in the actual release notes. In short first update deviceadmin and them all other apps.

Hello, I am a new employee of Rexroth,there are some question about this topic ,I prepare build a app by SDK(C++),but I donnot know how to debug my function ,because some function need like datalayer ,trace,scheduler... and I search the topic in commuity,then I found maybe I can use "gdb service " to remote debug?(I donnt know whether there have mistake about understand),in document(Debugging of Snaps) it told me I need a root user? so I want know how to get it which used in a vitural core.or you can tell me which department or people I can ask about those question? I will tell my boss to connect by the way of company,I need a professional help about SDK debug knowledge,please!!!
