PLC Engineering Trend Object

Hello.

We have made a lot of projects with drive integrated core to all over the world that has trend objects in them. Now I have heard that Core has limited times that you can write to its memory, so I got a bit affraid.

So question is that is it safe to use PLC Engineerings trend object or does it damage permanently the Core?
Is it possible to allocate to an external memory in PLC Engineering?

There is limited lifetime on all flash based memories, including the buitin in the core.

Thus its much better to store files on external uSD's or USB-Sticks, as if they break downs they are easily exchanged.

However, i cant find a way to change the storeage path for the builtin trend recorder.

When using normal Traces, there are an API avaiable for manually storing trace values, there you can put the data on a memory card.

And another way is to use a database (InfluxDB, MongoDB etc) to store the data on a memory card.
