Hi All,
Im using ctrlX core with ctrlX PLC app (basic license) and Motion app to control a system with upto 16 Axes need to be synchronized.
So, I wonder how much I/O that we can expand over EtherCat that PLC can handle? and maximum axes that can be synchronized on ctrlX core?
If you have those info please kindly share with me!
Thank you!

Hi,
please see the docu about the Ethercat Master Features https://docs.automation.boschrexroth.com/doc/3356002996/ethercat-master-features/latest/en/
There you can find how many devices and process data is possible in sum. It depends how many data is configured with the drive and how many/size of IO you use.

Hi Tuan,
actually we have two situations:
a) ctrlX MOTION in "open sales" status (V1.12): 10 axes are allowed and possible
b) ctrlX MOTION in "pre-series" status (V1.14): here we have to check the application with you, if more than 10 axes can be used (see my personal notification to you - please get in contact with me or your responsible sales person). In most cases more than 10 axes is possible.
Best regards,
Michael

Hi,
If We can expand maximum up to 128 Ethercat Stations then how many modules per Station or I/O per Station which we could install?
Do we count base on modules/IO?
Thank you!

Like mentioned in a post above and written in the manual, 128 is count of EtherCat slaves. So it is depending on your IO if each sub module is registered as own slave or the the data is summed up and transmitted as one.
The second limitation is total size of 1024 byte cyclic transmitted data.
