Hello everyone,
I already used an IO-Link of ifm to get data via EtherCAT and everything works well. Now I use a similar device of Keyence (EtherCAT®-Kommunikationseinheit - SR-EC1 | KEYENCE Deutschland) but I didn´t get the data (of a barcode Scanner) I want. Only some Meta data but not the data of the barcode scanner in channel 1.
I configured both devices in the same way and also used the associated ESI-file. The ethercatmaster app recognize both devices but on the Keyence device aren´t any channels as you can see in the following picture.
Is the SR_EC1 not supported by the CtrlX or do I have to change some configurations?
Thank you in advance!
Elias

As visible on your screenshot the two masters are not set up the same and also cannot, as in the ifm sub-devices can be plugged in and in the SR no sub nodes are existing. The second behaviour looks like known feature that is currently not supported by ctrlX CORE. When adding a "sub master" like such an EtherCat to IO-Link converter it would create another master node in the Engineering that needs to be configured separately. This is currently not possible in the ctrlX CORE.
Please have a look to the list of tested devices "3rd party EtherCAT slave interoperability list".

Hello @CodeShepherd
What does that mean exactly? This device is not supported by CtrlX Core but when I add a "sub master" to the EtherCat master it could work? If yes, how can I do this?
Thank you!

Like I tried to point out out above it seems to use a not supported featured.
And if it is missing on the also mentioned list we did not net test it before.
