ctrlX Drive Display switch between 1st and 2nd gen

Hello,

If we use a XDP1-N-128-NNVRSN-NN display for a 1st generation ctrlX Drive, can we reuse the same display for a 2nd generation ctrlX Drive?

The "old" displays are useable on new ctrlX DRIVE also. But then the new functions included in the "new" displays are not available.

What is the difference between "old" and "new" display and how can I detect this?
